Phyllis Herzog is available for in-service training in phonemic awareness, phonics and PhonicsQ. She has trained teachers, para-professionals and parents throughout the U.S. and abroad since 1999.
Each session will emphasize the importance of teaching written English as an alphabetic code. Teachers will learn basic phonics patterns and rules and be able to teach them through a phonics-based, sequential or literature-based reading program. This approach uses a picture as a cueing device to connect letters and sounds for decoding, encoding and pronunciation.
As a result of participation:
“Thank you for inviting me to visit you and your students yesterday. I am very excited about what I saw! The combination of the PhonicsQ program and your excellent teaching style is powerful and obviously produces phenomenal results. It’s the best phonics program I have ever seen. I hope to use it in my own teaching. Thanks so much!”
